Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Doctor in Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. Our highly specialised adult pain management service with a fully integrated neuromodulation unit offers a unique chance to work with a friendly and enthusiastic team.

Main Duties

The post holder will work independently in community pain clinics and attend multidisciplinary team (MDT) clinics. They will be competent in the full repertoire of pain management injections and perform these interventions at Mile End Hospital and other operating suites at Barts Health.

The post holder will assist and operate in neuromodulation lists according to the case mix and their specialist skills. They will also be responsible for maintaining National Neuromodulation Registry (NNR) and presenting a Complex Programming Clinic report for discussion.

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Current GMC registration with license to practice
  • Postgraduate medical or surgical qualification
  • Competent and independent in pain assessment, diagnosis and management
  • Expertise in spinal injections and peripheral nerve blocks
  • An interest in neuromodulation
