FAFS Fire & Security is a leader in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automatic Fire Detection, Protection, and Alarm Systems. We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to serve the London area.
Compensation Package
Annual Salary – £42,000 based on experience

Key Responsibilities
The Fire Alarm Engineer will:
- Service fire alarm systems and related equipment in compliance with current regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure best practices and cost-effective solutions.
- Complete and submit all necessary documentation and certifications to adhere to ISO 9001 standards.
- Work closely with colleagues and the Service Manager to uphold the company's reputation for quality and customer service.
Daily Tasks
- Conduct scheduled maintenance efficiently and in line with company quality standards.
- Perform necessary work at customer sites following established quality protocols.
- Support the on-call schedule to provide reliable out-of-hours service.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and defects.
- Provide relevant fire safety information to clients.
- Plan and manage own workload, including maintenance visits and emergency repairs.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork.
- Manage and secure personal equipment stock efficiently.
- Adhere to company and client quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Discuss potential improvements for systems and services with the Line Manager.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- A thorough understanding of BS5839 Part 1.
- Knowledge of fire alarm issues and the ability to recommend improvements.
- Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
- Manufacturer training on relevant equipment as determined by the Line Manager.
- Experience with BS7671, BS5839 Part 1, and BS6266 where applicable.
- Ability to operate within the framework of BN EN ISO 9001:2000.
- Preferred familiarity with Siemens and Gent analogue fire alarm systems.
