Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Morepeople 01780. As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and visitors. You will work closely with our management team to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate them.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure health and safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH diploma in health and safety or equivalent.
  • IOSH or above desirable, with commitment to regular CPD.
  • Proven track record and hands-on experience in a Health and Safety role.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or similar industries is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene procedures.
  • Organized and motivated to move the department forward.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within all levels of the organization.
  • Good working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and the requirements this imposes on a business.
