Your Responsibilities:

  • Grid Connection Management: Oversee G99 applications and manage your tasks autonomously while reporting to the Network Lead.
  • Power System Evaluation: Perform analyses using IPSA or DigSilent PowerFactory and keep datasets current with Python API scripts.
  • Network Analysis: Create and maintain network models for connection evaluations and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Innovative Problem Solving: Develop creative solutions for Grid Offers and spearhead the creation of the In-house Capacity Estimation System.
  • Industry Participation: Attend relevant industry events and forums to remain informed about advancements in the field.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Data Science or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Grid Analysis and Modelling.
  • Proficient in IPSA, PowerFactory, and Python API.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Grid Infrastructure, grid applications, and AI/ML methodologies in data management.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Eligibility to work full-time in the UK, with a valid UK driving license.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with connection studies and collaboration with Distribution Network Operators or System Operators.
  • Familiarity with solar energy projects/storage systems and related software such as CAD, PVCase, and/or PVSyst.
  • Programming experience in PowerFactory or IPSA.
