Job Title: Construction Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team at Altrad. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Building Lead in the day-to-day construction planning, engineering, and works progression of allocated buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Planning: Support the Building Lead in the development of construction plans, ensuring that they are aligned with the project's overall objectives.
- Discipline-Specific Construction Work Packs: Deliver discipline-specific construction work packs to support the MEH construction activities, ensuring that they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Constructability and Sequencing: Engage with the constructability of construction activities, working with building engineers to facilitate sequencing of installation that maximizes efficiency.
- Project Change Management: Manage project change within allocated buildings, ensuring that the project change process is adhered to, including construction documentation and scope change aspects of the contract.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prioritize and own documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan, and manage and maintain Procon reporting data for allocated buildings.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Provide and demonstrate positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HSE culture throughout the construction life cycle of the project.
- Nuclear Safety and Site Licence Requirements: Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site licence requirements.
Key Deliverables:
- Construction Work Packs: Deliver construction work packs to support the MEH Alliance programme.
- Procon System: Enable the use of the Procon system to support construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance.
- Safe Access Routing: Enable the coordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support MEH Alliance construction works.
- Topographical and Surveying: Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support MEH Alliance construction works.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant Degree: Relevant degree in construction or HVAC engineering.
- HNC in Construction Discipline: HNC in relevant construction discipline or HVAC engineering with extensive experience working in this type of role.
- CCNSG Safety Passport: CCNSG Safety Passport.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience or safely delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects, including working at a management level of authority. Experience in the heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial, as is experience in working with Joint Ventures.
- Multi-Discipline Construction Installation Methodologies: Experience in the management and coordination of multi-discipline construction installation methodologies.
