As the UK Tax Consultant, you will be instrumental in overseeing and enhancing our tax operations. Your primary duties will encompass:
- Managing the UK corporate tax operations while working closely with external advisors.
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with both UK and Group tax advisory teams.
- Ensuring compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations.
- Maintaining the relationship with HM Revenue and Customs, addressing inquiries, coordinating processes, and delivering regular updates internally.
- Leading the requirements for UK tax accounting and reporting.
- Conducting assessments and reporting for tax planning.
- Overseeing the annual evaluation for R&D tax incentives.
- Reviewing and enhancing VAT return procedures.
- Identifying and mitigating risks related to tax evasion within the organization.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly corporation tax submissions and related documentation.
- Providing expert tax and project management assistance on both local and international projects, including changes in group structure, property matters, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Supporting finance and trade teams with inquiries related to indirect taxes.
Qualifications:
- Professional accounting or tax qualification (ACCA/ACA/ICAS/CTA).
- Experience in an in-house role within a B2B or manufacturing sector, or within a significant UK tax practice.
- Ability to engage effectively with senior members of the business.
