Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to deliver a proficient and high-quality clerical service within Maternity wards. This includes ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere for patients and visitors while facilitating the seamless operation of administrative and clerical tasks.

Effective patient administration is crucial to enhancing the patient journey and aids clinical teams in providing exceptional patient care, ultimately improving the overall patient experience. High standards of data quality and optimal use of resources are essential components of this role.

Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and well-presented individual to join our team of ward clerks in Maternity. If you possess excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a desire to positively impact patient care, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

The role entails delivering a professional, efficient, and friendly service, ensuring that all patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals are greeted appropriately. A significant aspect of this position is utilizing judgment and initiative to address daily patient inquiries and concerns, while collaborating with the broader Maternity administrative and clinical teams as necessary.

To succeed in this role, you should have a flexible work approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. Proficiency in keyboarding is essential, and while knowledge of Electronic Patient Records (EPR) is advantageous, training will be provided. This position offers the chance to become part of the larger administrative team within Maternity, with numerous opportunities for career advancement.
