Job Objective
FitzRoy is initiating a Digital Transformation Programme aimed at delivering user-friendly, dependable, data-driven solutions to empower all stakeholders in aiding individuals with learning disabilities to achieve independence.
As the Technical Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison for our regional services, coordinating visits alongside the IT Service Delivery Manager and Lead Support Engineer.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the installation and configuration of IT infrastructure and hardware across our services nationwide, while also supporting the IT helpdesk team in delivering exceptional assistance to our staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation and upkeep of physical infrastructure in services, emphasizing network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access solutions.
- Establish a proactive visit schedule to address IT challenges at service locations.
- Ensure accurate and thoroughly tested equipment configuration and deployment.
- Document configuration changes and communicate them with the IT support team.
- Contribute to the development of the VOIP system, 3CX.
- Create and update network topology diagrams for services.
- Provide on-site service and customer support during visits.
- Understand customer requirements and offer relevant recommendations.
- Prepare networking equipment in advance of service visits.
- Deliver training and resources to the 1st line IT Support team in your area of expertise.
Plan and execute a schedule for successful infrastructure installations.
