Job Title: Class 1 Night Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers, collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centres, and planning routes on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers
  • Collect multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centres
  • Plan routes on a day-to-day basis
  • Complete daily vehicle checks
  • Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations
  • Attend regular training sessions
Requirements:
  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Work to deadlines
  • Be confident, polite, and a team player
  • Have good geographical knowledge
  • Be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated
Benefits:
  • Basic salary of £42,837pa, based on 48 hours per week (includes shift allowance of £17.50 per shift for any shifts starting between 12:00 and 02:00)
