Senior Electrician

Beck & Pollitzer is seeking an experienced Electrical Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our industrial projects team, you will be responsible for leading teams of technicians and subcontractors on a daily basis, motivating and delegating work to ensure daily targets are clearly identified, achieved, and that all work is carried out efficiently and effectively in accordance with scheduling, health, safety, and quality requirements.

• Industrial Environment Expertise: Work in industrial and commercial environments, operating independently or as part of a team of electricians.
• Project Management: Lead teams of technicians and subcontractors, ensuring daily targets are met and work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
• Electrical Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain power supplies, unistrut, trunking, panel termination, test and inspections, machinery relocations, and new power distribution.
• Collaboration with Other Trades: Work alongside mechanical and pipework trades, ensuring seamless project execution.
• Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct RAMS updates and modifications, present to the team as required, and ensure plant and equipment are used in accordance with RAMS and other HSE requirements.
• Health and Safety: Present toolbox talks, discuss specific risk assessments with the team, and conduct point-of-work risk assessments.
• Documentation and Administration: Maintain necessary site documentation, collate and copy daily paperwork, including disconnection sheets and protocols.

• Industrial/Commercial Experience: Proven experience in industrial and commercial environments.
• Electrical Installation and Maintenance: Experience in the installation and relocation of industrial machinery, production equipment, or process plant.
• Qualifications and Certifications: Recognized apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds required, JIB ECS), CSCS Card, and ability to read electrical layout drawings and schematics.
• Health and Safety Knowledge: Excellent health and safety knowledge and standards.
• Travel and Flexibility: Ability to travel and work away from home.
• Additional Qualifications: Industrial qualifications desirable, such as abrasive wheels and work at height, and IPAF (cherry picker/scissor lift license) desirable.
