About the Role:

Our client, a renowned UK-based Engineering Consultancy specializing in Drainage, Civil, and Structural Engineering, is seeking a Senior Flood Risk Advisor to enhance their established team of Flood Risk and Drainage experts.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a robust academic foundation in a relevant field, including a BSc and/or MSc, and should be on the path to achieving Chartered Status.

Experience Required:

Candidates should have a background working with a UK Consultancy or Local Authority focused on:

  • Flood Risk Assessments
  • Surface Water Management Plans
  • Surface Water Drainage Strategies
  • Drainage Strategies and Mapping

Additionally, experience in team management, project oversight, and bid preparation is essential, along with the ability to cultivate new business opportunities with clients.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior Flood Risk Advisor, you will:

  • Oversee, review, and validate technical outputs related to Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Mapping, and Drainage Strategies.
  • Engage with clients to discuss project development and status.
  • Collaborate with Housing Developers, Investment Firms, and Local Authorities.
  • Prepare competitive bids and tenders.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
  • Promote the company’s services, including proprietary flood modeling software.
  • Support company growth initiatives and assist in the recruitment of new personnel as necessary.
