About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Iron Mountain. As a Design Manager, you will play a critical role in defining and overseeing the design of our data centre projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project scope and objectives, and develop project plans and schedules.
  • Oversee the work of external consultants, architects, and structural engineers to ensure that designs meet Iron Mountain's standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that designs meet health and safety legislation and relevant building standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including Iron Mountain, clients, and project team members.
  • Ensure that all design work meets Iron Mountain's quality and safety standards.
  • Manage the design verification process and ensure that all technical documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Develop and maintain a design management plan, including protocols for design development, review, and approval.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data centre design and operations, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and design principles.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure that all design work meets quality and safety standards.
