Technical Project Engineer

Magdalene Limited, a leading telecom services supplier, is seeking a skilled Technical Project Engineer to join its Scottish Power Energy Networks team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of various projects and maintenance of the SPEN telecoms network across the North West.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic planning and delivery of installation & commissioning projects
  • Supporting Project and Senior Project Managers with scoping, preparing, planning, implementing, and delivering technical projects of varying scale, complexities, and technologies
  • Implementing new network technologies, performing system upgrades, monitoring system performance and capacity, and performing system backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting network and systems
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and ensuring customer networks are documented as part of project handovers
Requirements:
  • Relevant telecoms qualifications
  • IP Networking (CCNA, WAN, LAN, MPLS/MPLS-TP) knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of routing/switching and data networking
  • Strong set of IT skills, including Microsoft Office products, basic DOS commands, mobile phone work apps, and online time sheets
