The SCADA Systems Engineer is an expert on leading SCADA applications and related use within system control processes. This person will also work on other programming and documentation projects as required. For entry-level applicants, we are willing to provide training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a broad understanding of SCADA communications and IT Telecommunications Infrastructure. Enhance and maintain the SCADA Operations Control Centre Environment.
  • Develop and maintain standards, practices, procedures, and policies for Enzen's clients using SCADA, SCADA network, and SCADA telecommunications processes. Troubleshoot communication and remote equipment issues affecting pipeline operations.
  • Conduct Site Acceptance Testing to demonstrate and validate controls functionality.
  • Taking ownership of technical issues and use persuasive skills to work with 3rd line support to resolve more advanced issues when necessary.
  • Responsible for the proper operation of all system software, hardware, and network. Provide 24/7 SCADA support to the pipeline operations control centre.
  • Support the existing infrastructure; assist with the maintenance of the computer operating system, network, and the control system package.
  • Provide SCADA and Telemetry support and work with IT infrastructure on system issues and upgrades. Develop/updates custom application functionality, understand and support external system interfaces.
  • Build, modify, test, and design screens/mimics and database records in SCADA to add new operations functions. Support troubleshooting control equipment by providing diagnostic information to the field.
  • Able to work to identify scope of issues and recommend best practices to prevent further occurrences.
  • Location must be work from office 2/3 days a week from a client location.
  • Resolving escalated customer complaints without the need for team lead intervention.
  • Participate in testing of new tools, applications, and releases; provide appropriate feedback for tool improvement.
  • Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps.
  • Participation in providing training to customers as required.
  • Prepare Excel-based reports based on incident severity.
  • Ability to lead outages to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Follow IT procedures, e.g., ITIL, and strictly comply with our policies.
  • Provide 24X7 support via on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • SCADA Software Development, Testing, and Support Experience
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Firm grasp of how web applications work, networking, and software products

We are looking for:

  • Min 2 years of experience with any of the leading SCADA packages such as Schneider ClearSCADA/SCX Wonderware, GE Power On, ABB SCADA, and/or relevant
  • Pipeline experience preferred
  • Client-facing experience
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science required
