Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Luton Bennett. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the research, development, and design of high-speed rotating assemblies for prototype manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and development of high-speed rotating assemblies for prototype manufacture
  • Working with a small multidisciplined team to design and develop new products
  • Using Solid Works and 3D CAD to design and develop new products
  • Liaising with key suppliers to source components and materials
  • Generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and geometric tolerance and finite element analysis
  • Building prototypes and testing and validation procedures

Requirements:

  • Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with thorough knowledge of Solid Works
  • Competent with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and hand calculations
  • High-speed rotating machinery experience, preferably in the automotive industry
