Remuneration: Up to £35,000

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, early finish on Fridays

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team in Basildon. As a key member of the production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Programme Development: Create programmes for our machines to optimize production efficiency.
  • Component Packaging: Develop component packages to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve the efficiency and accuracy of machines to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot printing and placement errors to minimize waste and ensure quality products.
  • Process Support: Provide process support for machines, reflow ovens, AOI, and associated machinery to ensure smooth operations.
  • Custom Profile Creation: Create custom reflow profiles using data collection tools and software to optimize production processes.
  • Breakdown Support: Assist in the repair of breakdowns with the support of third-party providers to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Attend new product introduction meetings and collaborate with Production Engineering/Quality teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the efficiency and accuracy of new products to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience with manufacturing machinery in an engineering support role.

Desirable:

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Decision Making: Ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Communication: Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills.
