About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Communications and Engagement to join our senior leadership team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering our communication strategies, both internally and externally.

Main Responsibilities

As Director of Communications and Engagement, you will be responsible for leading and managing our communications function, providing professional advice and expertise on all aspects of communication, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management. You will develop and implement effective communication and engagement strategies, including social media, to promote the work of the Trust and enhance its reputation.

Key Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong track record of experience in senior communications roles, preferably in an NHS setting. You will have a deep understanding of communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management, as well as excellent leadership and management skills. You will also have the ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
