Senior Family Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Solicitor to join our team at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. As a key member of our Family Department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members, managing and supervising Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers, and assisting with the delivery of training and development in the department.
Main Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members on Family Law matters
- Manage and supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers to ensure effective case management and delivery
- Assist with the delivery of training and development in the department to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services to clients
- Deal with a range of Family Law work, including divorce, financial disputes, and remedies, international elements of child abduction and adoption, and injunctions
- Provide strong client care skills and a professional, proactive approach to ensure excellent service delivery
- Committed and highly driven individual with a strong work ethic
- Valid Practising Certificate at the time of applying
- Strong management skills, including the ability to supervise and manage a team
- Excellent client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable client matters in a sensitive manner
- Excellent networking and communication skills, with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business
- Working knowledge of the publicly funded Family Law work and the ability to service privately funded cases
- Extensive experience in dealing with all Family Law related work, including adoption matters
- Experience in own advocacy is an advantage
- Excellent IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills
