We are seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team in Bangor and surrounding areas. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals with complex care needs.
About RandstadRandstad is a leading provider of experienced professionals for residential care settings. Our Support Workers are trained to deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health conditions, dementia, learning difficulties, or complex care needs.
Key Responsibilities- Supervision: Provide vigilant and compassionate care and supervision to individuals in a variety of care settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of all individuals through regular checks and proactive risk management.
- Support and Guidance: Offer emotional support and practical guidance to individuals who may experience distress or difficulties.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, healthcare professionals, therapists, and educators.
- Training Participation: Engage in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in caring for a variety of complex needs.
- Training: Comprehensive induction and ongoing training, including access to health and social care Level 3 and Team Teach Training.

- Experience: Previous experience supporting individuals with one or more of the following: mental health challenges, dementia/elderly care, learning difficulties, complex care needs, or children's residential care.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle is required.
- Registration: Must be registered or willing to register with Social Care Wales.
- DBS Check: Must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Empathy and Understanding: A deep understanding of the complex needs of individuals, whether they are facing mental health challenges, cognitive impairments, or require complex care.
- Industry Knowledge: Well-versed in safeguarding regulations, risk assessments, de-escalation techniques, and the best practices associated with support work.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Calm and Composed: Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, providing reliable care and support.
- Proactive Approach: A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving and delivering high-quality care.
