About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technical Trainer to join our team at Arnold Clark. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to apprentices and commercial delegates at our training centre in Wolverhampton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out training and education in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs that meet the needs of our apprentices and commercial delegates.
  • Assess trainees' knowledge, skills, and behaviors, ensuring they meet industry standards and awarding body requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader and Curriculum Manager to develop and improve training processes and resources.
  • Provide welfare support and guidance to apprentices and employers.
Requirements
  • Industry-recognized qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 3 or equivalent.
  • English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in electrical diagnosis and ability to use modern automotive technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Full UK driving license for subject specialism.
Desirable Skills
  • Teaching qualification (training and qualification will be offered if not).
  • Recent English and Maths experience (training and qualification will be offered if not).
  • Experience of working with apprentices or young people.
  • Assessing or TAQA qualification.
  • First aid.
