Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our construction finance team at MCR Property Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Matching purchase orders to invoices and processing subcontractor/supplier invoices, including posting to Sage 50
  • Coding invoices to correct tax and nominal codes, and ensuring accurate record keeping
  • Verifying all subcontractors for CIS and submitting CIS returns to HMRC
  • Assisting with supplier queries and obtaining approvals for all invoices from Asset Managers
  • Updating bank reconciliation spreadsheet with supplier payments once processed
  • Providing support to management accountant and other department managers
