Position: Geomatics Analyst - Offshore

As a Geomatics Analyst at Rovco, you will be at the forefront of our hydrographic survey and inspection initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of data quality while contributing to pioneering projects utilizing the latest survey technologies.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Geomatics Analyst, you will be vital to our mission of delivering accurate and dependable survey data from our vessels. Your daily tasks will include:
- Quality Control & Assurance: Guarantee the precision and consistency of acquired geospatial survey data and final survey delivery products, adhering to project specifications.
- Data Processing: Process survey data collected from various platforms (vessel, USV, AUV, ROV, ASV) and produce high-quality survey data outputs.
- Knowledge Development: Continuously enhance your expertise in survey and geospatial applications and techniques, keeping abreast of industry advancements.
- Documentation & Handover: Maintain thorough handover notes, a detailed processing log, and a checklist to ensure seamless project continuity.
- Support & Administration: Provide essential support to our offshore teams and manage the setup and administration of data processing hardware and software.
We understand that not every candidate will meet all the listed requirements, but we encourage you to apply if you possess:
- A degree in Surveying, Hydrography, Ocean Science, Geography, GeoData, or a related data/science/engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in offshore hydrographic and inspection survey projects as a Data Processor.
- Strong data management skills, ensuring efficient and accurate data handling.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with EIVA NaviEdit and NaviModel.
- Experience as an Online Surveyor involved in the setup of survey systems and overseeing acquisition.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of programming languages to enhance automation and streamline processes.
- Project management skills to contribute to the successful planning and execution of survey projects.
- Familiarity with software such as QGIS, Microsoft SQL Server, QPS Qinsy, and EIVA NaviPac.
