Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Thanet

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding All-Age Special School in Thanet. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with profound, severe, and complex learning difficulties, including ASD, in their daily activities and learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with profound, severe, and complex learning difficulties, including ASD, in their daily activities and learning.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring students' comfort and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement individualized education plans (EHCPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

Requirements:
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is preferred.
  • Willingness to provide personal care assistance, including toileting and feeding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and resilience.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and obtain necessary clearances.
  • Hold an enhanced child only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
