Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and drawings
  • Implement PDM software and ensure design data integrity
  • Recruit and develop a team of design engineers
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production
  • Contribute to the development of new products and technologies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in mechanical design engineering
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Siemens NX preferred)
  • PDM/PLM experience beneficial
  • Knowledge of composites and marine industry
  • Degree/HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or related field
