Location: Corby Sixth Form

Role Overview:

We are currently looking for a Facilities Operations Coordinator to become a part of The Bedford College Group at Corby Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive range of services to ensure that the facilities' environment effectively supports the objectives and aspirations of The Bedford College Group.

Responsibilities include security management, portering services, maintenance tasks, grounds upkeep, health and safety compliance checks, driving duties, and cleaning operations.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal applicants will possess:

  • A willingness to engage in relevant training.
  • A commitment to acquiring a foundational understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Experience in public interaction and working with youth.
  • Proficiency in managing diverse situations involving individuals of various age groups.
  • Basic familiarity with adhering to written procedures and guidelines.
  • Capability to work independently and to support team members effectively.
  • Skills to de-escalate potentially challenging situations in a composed and suitable manner.
  • Competence in following both verbal and written instructions.
  • Dependability and punctuality.
  • A valid full driving license with a clean record.
  • Access to a vehicle and flexibility to work across all College locations.
  • Availability to provide weekend cover as needed.
  • Accessibility via phone, occasionally on short notice.
