Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to join Arm's Boards and Packaging team, who are at the forefront of embedded design based around Arm products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop physical hardware development platforms based on Arm's custom system-on-chip (SoC) and FPGAs.
  • Collaborate with internal development teams and external partners/customers to create and validate software development and validation activities.
  • Apply mathematical concepts and algorithms to solve complex board layout challenges.
  • Work alongside system architects, CPU/System IP designers, physical chip layout/packaging engineers, and other teams to bring up new development boards.
  • Interact with Arm's partners and customers through the support organization and directly.
Requirements:
  • Basic understanding of digital and analog electronics and circuit diagrams.
  • Passion for embedded computing beyond academic studies.
  • Ability to demonstrate creative and structured approaches to problem-solving, learning, and self-development.
  • Comfortable communicating within a small team.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Linear Algebra, Graph Theory, computational geometry, and Optimization techniques (Linear/Non-Linear programming).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Schematic and layout tools.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and software debuggers or Embedded hardware debug using oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like C and Python for scripting and automation.
  • Knowledge of leading RISC-based computer architecture, ideally Arm.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to write coherent documentation.
