We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join our Life Sciences service team at Getinge. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our medical equipment in the field, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with our internal teams to deliver the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide first-class interpersonal skills to customers, demonstrating a courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Carry out routine testing of Getinge equipment to relevant standards and undertake mechanical servicing of equipment.
- Problem Solving: Combine initiative with a practical and logical approach to problem-solving, ensuring that all aspects of the job are addressed efficiently.
- Electrical/Mechanical Fault Finding: Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in equipment.
- Calibration and Reporting: Calibrate equipment as necessary and report all faulty equipment or equipment out of calibration to the Line Manager.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and monitor adequate stock levels of spare parts to ensure timely response to customer calls.
- Service Documentation: Produce high-quality service documentation for submission to customers.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with the internal Service Department, Technical Department, and Service Managers.
- Quality and Safety: Adhere to Quality System duties and responsibilities, as well as company and on-site Health & Safety requirements.
- Qualifications: Recognized qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds Levels 1 & 2 or equivalent).
- Experience: Experience in field-based work, preferably in a similar role.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems (e.g., GForce).
- Work Ethic and Organizational Skills: Strong work ethic and first-rate organizational skills.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work as part of a team, adapt to changing situations, and travel as required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service.
