**Job Summary**

The Tao Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Restaurant Service Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dining room.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Restaurant Setup**: Ensure the dining room is clean, organized, and stocked with all necessary supplies, including crockery, cutlery, condiments, and linens.
  • **Pass Section Management**: Maintain the pass section, ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with all necessary supplies.
  • **Stock Management**: Assist with stock count, reporting any shortages to the Manager, and ensure the restaurant has adequate supplies for the shift.
  • **Food Service Delivery**: Ensure all food, crockery, cutlery, and condiments leaving the kitchen meet the required standard and are delivered to the correct table in a timely manner.
  • **Menu Management**: Assist in the management of advance orders and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the restaurant menu products, including safe substitutes for dishes containing specific allergens.
  • **Communication**: Attend pre-shift briefings, communicate out-of-stock or limited stock to the team, and manage limited stock on the point-of-sale system.
  • **Team Support**: Act as a communicator between the kitchen and floor managers, providing assistance to the chefs when required, and monitor and control breakages in line with restaurant guidelines.
  • **Guest Experience**: Welcome and greet guests in a welcoming, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • **Training and Development**: Ensure Commis Waiters are trained and have the necessary tools to carry out their duties, monitor training progress, and provide feedback to the Managers to improve team performance.
  • **Duty Distribution**: Effectively manage the distribution of duties amongst Commis Waiters, ensuring duties are completed in a timely manner and to the required standard.

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
