About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join our Financial Reporting and Analysis team within Financial Control at Scottish Water. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering clear and relevant financial information and analysis to our business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to keep the business informed about operating costs, including cost analysis and forecasting.
  • Support the teams in planning and setting financial performance targets for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Guide and coach teams through financial policies, processes, and controls.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to review cost data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Proficiency in using IT tools, particularly Excel, and experience with financial software and systems.
