Job Overview

Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Principal Power Electronics Design Lead to join our team in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and owning cutting-edge power electronics projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop optimized point-of-load converters for RF and digital modules, as well as standalone dc-dc converter modules.
  • Own hardware designs from concept to production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics solutions into our products.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in power electronics design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 9 years of industry or research experience in power electronics design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven success in designing, testing, and deploying power electronics products.
  • Experience with space electronics design and qualification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and mitigation techniques is highly desirable.
