About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the class teacher to ensure that the child can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team of staff and senior leaders, promoting a culture of inclusivity and excellence.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, staff, parents, and governors, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Level 2 Maths and English or higher
  • Desirable to have SEN experience
  • VQ2/NVQ3 or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience supporting a child on a 1:1 basis
  • Possess the highest expectations of pupils and themselves
  • Be enthusiastic and imaginative, with the ability to think outside the box
  • Have the ability to inspire, motivate, and engage children to achieve and succeed
  • Have a proven track record of forming positive relationships with children, staff, parents, and governors
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
