Project Manager - Civil Engineering

A leading regional civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee a variety of civil engineering schemes across the UK, with values up to £30m. As part of the management team, you will report to the regional director and manage site teams consisting of agents, sub-agents, engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage civil, earthworks, highways/roads, and design and build projects
  • Lead a project team and ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, work safely and in accordance with company policies
  • Prepare project cost value reports and contract status reports with commercial staff
  • Liaise with estimating to provide value engineering expertise and lessons learned
  • Deliver project schemes profitably and on time to enhance the company's reputation and secure further business
  • Assist in recognizing new client targets and developing an approach with the commercial manager
