Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at STRABAG UK Limited. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and coordinate project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, including identifying, assessing, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with project team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Manage and coordinate project documentation, including project reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and coordinate project close-out activities, including project handover, finalization of project documentation, and completion of project evaluations.

Requirements

  • Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Minimum Requirements (including Code of Construction Practice, etc).
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process with strong ability for planning.
  • Experience of working in an environment of a complex structure of stakeholders and ability to maintain good relationships throughout.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on the development of people in the team to realise their potential.
  • Track record of developing a proactive and collaborative relationship with the Client Teams.
  • Able to demonstrate the application of systems and construction processes that develop a result-driven culture of excellence throughout the project team.
  • Ability to establish and lead a safety-first culture with a track record of delivering projects safely.
  • Can demonstrate leading supply chain relationships to bring innovation and best practice to the project within a commercial framework that ensures delivery to programme and budget.
  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.
  • A Chartered Member of a relevant professional body (MCIOB), (MICE), (MRICS).
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.
  • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
  • CSCS Card (relevant type).
