Sales and Logistics Administrator Job Description

Gap Technical is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales and Logistics Administrator to join their team. As a Sales and Logistics Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of sales and logistics processes, including order preparation, freight booking, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Preparation: Prepare all necessary documentation for order dispatch, including bills of lading, release notes, test certificates, and invoices.
  • Freight Booking: Book freight forwarders for UK and export deliveries and raise all necessary paperwork, including delivery and collection manifests.
  • Inventory Management: Review raw material requirements, raise purchase orders when necessary, and liaise with USA manufacturing facilities for order status.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly sales and logistics KPIs, including revenue forecasts.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor order books, schedule, and release production works orders to maintain continuous production and buffer levels.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with other logistics administration tasks as defined and when required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience working in a manufacturing environment, using integrated ERP systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Planning and Organizing Skills: Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of ERP systems, Excel, and database management.
