Section Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join our team for the design and installation of a high voltage alternating current (HVAC) transmission system between Finstown in Orkney and Dounreay in Caithness.

• Manage and oversee engineering tasks, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other engineering teams to streamline activities.
• Develop and implement detailed engineering plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
• Ensure all health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to on-site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, maintaining high standards of quality control.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Section Engineer or similar role, preferably within large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and project management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
• A valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety certifications.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
