Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable nursery in Chorley. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging play-based activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Observe, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in their learning journey.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of our children.
  • Contribute to the development of a stimulating and creative curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
Essential Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, prioritizing the needs of the children and the nursery.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • Level 2 NVQ in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in an early years setting, with a focus on play-based learning and child development.
  • Paediatric first aid training and a DBS check.
