Job Title: Senior Formulations Specialist

Spherical Search is seeking a highly skilled Senior Formulations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our scientific team, you will be responsible for developing innovative and safe products in the field of inhalation drug delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement physical-chemical characterization methods to profile drug substances and candidate formulations.
  • Support Business Development functions in designing and preparing new proposals of work as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in aerosol formulation.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing discussions with customers to outline and understand their requirements and build a scheme of work.
  • Perform technical onboarding of new customers/projects into the business to enable smooth transitioning into project execution.
  • Support Pharmaceutical Development teams in delivering revenue-generating portfolio of work for our customers.
  • Review and contribute to reports and protocols for technical and scientific accuracy.
  • Resolve technical challenges faced by the scientific teams during project execution.
  • Make critical scientific decisions to enable continued project progress.
Requirements:
  • First degree in a scientific, pharmacy, or relevant discipline.
  • PhD in a relevant discipline is preferable.
  • Extensive experience in formulation development in the drug delivery field, particularly in peptides and/or proteins.
  • Pharmaceutical aerosol formulation development experience.
  • Ability to present at scientific meetings, webinars, and conferences.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
