About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Bolton Council. As a key member of our school catering operation, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in our food service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the school catering service, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Monitor and control budgets, ordering, and inventory management to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, quality, and safety standards.
  • Lead and motivate a team of catering staff to achieve excellent results and high standards.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar catering management role, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
