Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborates with Rig Managers in implementing safety protocols for assigned rigs, which includes conducting safety training, performing safety inspections, and leading accident investigations.
· Accountable for the completion of a personal development program tailored in conjunction with the Operations Manager, including a formal leadership development plan.
· Undertakes special projects assigned by the Operations Manager alongside Rig Managers.
· Aids Rig Managers in evaluating and monitoring operational expenses of the rigs.
· Contributes to minimizing personnel turnover on the rigs.
· Engages in the assessment of daily rig operations through comprehensive reports provided by Offshore Installation Managers.
· Participates in scheduled on-site inspections and audits.
· Consults with Rig Managers regarding potential operational challenges.
· Assists in evaluating overall operational effectiveness and collaborates with Rig Managers to initiate enhancements.
· Aids in the coordination of material procurement and inventory management for the rigs.
· Works with management to develop employee development initiatives on the rigs, including certification programs and team-building activities.
· Collaborates with Rig Managers in monitoring and auditing monthly equipment performance reports.
· Provides exceptional customer support by engaging with clients and following up on their needs.
· Shares responsibilities with Rig Managers in coaching and counseling employees on various issues.
· Engages in technical discussions related to operational troubleshooting with Rig and Operations Managers.
· Offers on-site support for rig relocations as directed by the Operations Manager.
· Assists in the preparation of capital and operational budgets alongside Rig and Operations Managers.
· Remains updated on relevant governmental, union, labor, safety, and environmental regulations impacting rig operations.
· Supports Rig Managers in ensuring compliance with these regulations.
· Acts as the Rig Manager during periods of absence.
· Makes operational decisions that align with the vision of Valaris.
· Demonstrates competencies required of a Rig Manager to enhance asset performance and meet Valaris standards.
· Recommends and coordinates activities to implement improvements and maintenance for assigned assets.
· Ensures that fixed assets comply with regulatory standards and remain functionally consistent with Valaris and industry benchmarks.
· Integrates Valaris Health, Safety, and Environmental standards into asset management decisions.
· Coordinates and reports on assigned projects to ensure operational functionality aligns with scope, timelines, and budgetary commitments.
· Oversees activities to maintain the physical integrity of assets, recommending enhancements to extend their useful life and improve marketability.
· Proposes asset improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and profitability during the planning phase.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
· A minimum of years in an operations management role within a similar industry.
Skills & Experience:
· Familiarity with internal controls in accordance with COSO Standards.
· Proficient in data analysis and synthesis to ensure accuracy and relevance.
· Proven leadership and influencing capabilities.
· Knowledgeable in financial accounting and management systems.
· Physically fit to be transported to offshore locations.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial functions and macros.
· Understanding of document control systems and databases.
