About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Operational Finance division. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate payment to our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices with precision, ensuring accuracy against orders placed and received.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any queries or discrepancies.
  • Coding and reporting: accurately code invoices and maintain up-to-date records for efficient financial operations.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and calculate VAT with attention to detail.
  • Authorise and prepare payments to suppliers, maintaining a smooth and efficient process.
  • Assist with petty cash management and other reporting tasks as required.
Requirements
  • A genuine interest in commencing a career in finance, with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Previous experience in transactional finance (particularly Accounts Payable) is welcomed, but not essential - a strong desire to learn is key.
  • Excellent numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Quick to pick up IT systems and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with a high level of organisation and time management.
  • A team player, able to work independently to deadlines.
