Job Description

Job Title: HGV 2 Driver

Job Type: Temporary

Location: Wickford Area

Hours: 06:30 to Finish

Salary: £19.00 per hour

Driverforce UK Ltd is seeking experienced HGV 2 Drivers for our prestigious client based in the Wickford area for temporary work. This position involves manual handling, so a good level of fitness is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving Flatbed Class 2 Vehicles
  • Distribution of products to various sites (Average 4-6 drops per day)
  • Undertaking deliveries to sites in the home counties, with the occasional delivery further afield
  • Completing all delivery paperwork accurately
  • Liaising with customers on arrival to delivery address
  • Working to deadlines and as part of a team
  • Following and being aware of Health and Safety procedures applicable to the industry

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV 2 licence with 2 years plus experience
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tacho required
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to be reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking, driven and self-motivated
  • Experience of working in a team environment and individually
  • Good communication skills to build working relationships and understand instructions with good attention to details and accuracy skills
  • Ability to adapt and learn new ways of working
