Electrical Systems Installation Specialist

Our in-house design and manufacturing capabilities, based in Poole, Dorset, allow us to deliver high-quality equipment and technology, which we install and maintain across various customer locations nationwide, supported by our expert Field Services team.

Join Our Team

We are currently seeking an Electrical Systems Installation Specialist to become a vital part of our operations. This position is primarily located in Berkshire, with responsibilities extending to various sites, including surrounding areas. As a member of our installation team, you will engage in the installation and inspection of traffic signals and related systems, offering a dynamic work environment with ample opportunities for professional growth. Previous experience in the traffic sector is not mandatory; we welcome individuals who are enthusiastic about on-site work, teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently or collaboratively install traffic signal assets, including wiring and controllers, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Navigate diverse job sites daily, managing a range of tasks that may vary in complexity.
  • Conduct electrical testing and pre-commissioning assessments to ensure system functionality.
  • Provide updates and feedback to clients and other contractors on-site.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to site specifications, maintaining high standards and timely delivery.
  • Successfully complete required training for product and industry accreditation.
  • Participate in out-of-hours work as necessary to meet service and contract obligations.
  • Uphold the Company’s Zero Harm Health & Safety Policy by proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of an electrical qualification and/or relevant experience in a site-based role is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and a passion for troubleshooting.
  • A cooperative, diligent, and proactive work ethic.
  • Openness to change and eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to getting tasks right the first time.
  • Goal-oriented with effective workload management and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication skills that contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Proficiency in using IT equipment, including tablets and laptops.
  • A valid UK Driving License is required; a company vehicle and tools will be provided.
  • Comfort with outdoor work and working at heights.
