About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Disabled Children's Team in Hampshire, covering Test Valley Directorate. As a Social Worker, you will be passionate about providing quality services to children with disabilities and their families, delivered within a strength-based approach model.
You will be responsible for working with children and their families to undertake holistic social work assessments to identify risk and need, and work with multi-agency networks to develop and review plans that address and mitigate concerns in a timely manner.
You will be part of a stable, friendly team working alongside our Occupational Therapy service, and will be required to liaise with health and education professionals to develop support packages for children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake holistic social work assessments to identify risk and need
- Work with multi-agency networks to develop and review plans
- Liaise with health and education professionals to develop support packages
- Work with children and their families to increase independence and promote family resilience
Requirements:
- Social Work qualification
- Prior experience of working with children with disabilities
- Ability to understand and navigate multi-agency systems and processes
What We Offer:
- Nine-day working fortnight
- Allocated personal assistant
- Annual leave starting from 25 days per annum and rising to 28 days based on experience and length of service
