The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Social Care Assessor to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. As a Social Care Assessor, you will work closely with Social Workers to provide information, advice, and assistance to children and families in need.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake 'What Matters' conversations with parents, carers, and children to understand their needs and circumstances.
  • Liaise with partner agencies across the statutory, public, and voluntary sectors to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the family's situation.
  • Assess care and support needs, and work with families to develop plans to improve their wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and families.


Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and its implications for care and support needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the service.
  • Knowledge of the Children's Single Point of Access and its role in supporting children and families.
