We are seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to join our team at HMP Isle of Wight. As a member of our Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients' requirements, make timely decisions regarding future management, and prescribe for patients, regularly review medications, and monitor repeat prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients' requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management
  • Prescribe for patients, regularly review medications, and monitor repeat prescriptions
  • Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with, having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities

Requirements:

  • MBChB or MBBS
  • Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
  • Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
  • Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
  • Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
