About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our EMEA HR Regulatory team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing expert advice on HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Support: Provide support to EMEA HR in submissions and responses to regulatory queries, examinations, and audits.
  • HR Regulatory Advice: Advise EMEA HR Country teams on HR-related regulatory matters and partner with those teams to support the firm's line of business and functions based in the EMEA.
  • Regulatory Change Management: Review, assess, and project manage the implementation of changes to the employee lifecycle required as a result of EMEA regulatory and/or legislative requirements or expectations.
  • Regulatory Governance: Participate in local governance fora representing HR, including Board-level meetings and Committees.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on the HR regulatory requirements impacting the firm's EMEA legal entities, and reviewing, assessing the impact of those requirements on the firm's businesses.
  • Regulatory Communication: Prepare responses to, and communicate with, the firm's EMEA regulators as part of their supervision of the compliance by the firm's local legal entities with applicable regulations.
  • Regulatory Project Management: Lead associated projects with HR and/or Control Function partners to enhance, change, or implement new policies or procedures to reflect changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Policy Development: Develop and maintain relevant policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Training and Education: Educate and train the broader HR Function on best practice, policies, and external developments, particularly in respect of regulatory change.
Requirements
  • Regulatory Background: Solid technical background in a regulatory field, or from a broader Legal or Compliance background.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of the key European regulatory frameworks impacting HR.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent documentation skills to clearly and accurately articulate key decisions and rationale.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effectively and comfortably with different levels of seniority, including experience of preparing papers for and presenting to Boards/Committees.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Ability to understand and navigate a complex regulatory environment.
  • Language Skills: Excellent writing skills in English.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders integrating information and clearly articulating impacts and solutions.
  • Initiative and Proactivity: Self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Issue Identification and Partnership: Takes initiative and is proactive in raising issues or identifying opportunities for partnership and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Regulatory Experience: Direct experience working with EMEA regulators.
  • HR Regulatory Experience: Experience within an HR Regulatory, Legal, or Compliance function.
  • Language Skills: Excellent writing skills in German.
