We are seeking a skilled and imaginative Senior Signage Designer to enhance our creative team at Scruffy Dog Creative Group. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in signage design and wayfinding, coupled with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail. This role involves close collaboration with the Creative Director, Design Manager, and fellow team members to produce visually captivating and practical signage solutions that elevate the overall theme and user experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Work in tandem with the Creative Director and design team to craft signage concepts that resonate with the overarching theme and design objectives of the project.
- Produce comprehensive design drawings and specifications for various signage elements, including operational signs, primary warnings, wait time indicators, and height restrictions, focusing on layout, typography, color palettes, and materials.
- Ensure all signage designs adhere to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and local legislation.
- Supervise the production and installation processes of signage and wayfinding in partnership with fabricators and installers.
- Assess the effectiveness of current signage and conduct site evaluations to determine signage and wayfinding requirements.
- Remain informed about industry trends and advancements to guarantee the highest quality and innovation in signage design.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring that deadlines and quality benchmarks are consistently achieved.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, or a related discipline.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and CAD applications.
- Strong grasp of typography, color theory, and spatial design principles.
- Familiarity with software such as Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks, and 3Ds Max.
