About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Economics to join our team at Ark Academy. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our Economics department, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality education and achieve excellent results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Economics department, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education and achieve excellent results.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of high-performing teachers and support staff.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources, ensuring effective use of resources to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior leader in a school or educational setting.
  • Excellent teaching and leadership skills, with a proven track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive improvement.
  • Passion for Economics and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
