Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision.
  • Implement SEND policies and procedures effectively.
  • Develop and integrate Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) objectives into the curriculum.
  • Oversee and manage SEND Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
  • Chair meetings and reviews for students with SEND.

This role is structured for three days a week, with flexibility regarding the specific days worked. The position is set to commence in September and will continue throughout the academic year.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Possess a relevant Teaching qualification (QTS – Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Hold a valid SENCO qualification and/or have prior experience in a SENCO role.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to support student needs.
  • Provide guidance to staff on pupil support strategies.
  • Draft action plans and EHCPs for individual students.
  • Establish strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Manage a team of educational staff.
  • Chair meetings and conduct pupil reviews.
  • Implement SEND policies and procedures effectively.
  • Engage in meetings with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other staff members.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the role.

As a SENCO with Flourish Education, you will enjoy a competitive salary of up to £240 per day, which equates to £46,800 annually based on a full-time schedule. Additional benefits include:
