Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Podiatrist to provide specialist foot care services at Barnet Hospital. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing outpatient care and support to inpatients.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality foot care services, including the management of acute and chronic at-risk wounds. They will also be expected to contribute to the development of clinical standards and clinical audit, and to actively participate in teaching and supervision of junior staff and students.

Requirements
  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
  • BSc Degree in Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior to 1992)
  • Health Professions Council (HPC) registration
  • Certificate in local anaesthesia
  • Evidence or portfolio of post-graduate continued development
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Evidence of study or intention to study to masters level qualification
  • Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
  • Experience of working at a band 6 level or above in an acute hospital setting with a high risk caseload
  • Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
